Mission Statement
Climate change is the biggest issue currently facing humanity and our planet. co2balance exists to provide businesses and individuals with easily accessible information on how to reduce and mitigate their contributions to climate change.
co2balance aims to be the foremost global carbon management organisation by promoting carbon reduction and offsetting as widely as possible. We will do this by providing advice and consultancy on carbon reduction and by developing and managing carbon reduction projects around the world using funding from its clients. Our carbon offsetting operations will be undertaken in strict accordance with the Six Golden Rules, a standard developed by co2balance that far exceeds any other standard in existence.
co2balance’s operations and carbon offset projects are guided by the beacon of ‘ethical conduct’. We seek out projects that as well as saving greenhouse gases, provide social and environmental spin-off benefits in order to maximise the good achieved through the funds invested by our clients. These projects would not have gone ahead without our clients’ funding.
We seek to make CarbonZero products and services the norm so that their climate impacts are understood and managed.
