What is a Carbon Footprint?
We all contribute to climate change every day. The carbon dioxide you produce by driving your car or heating and powering your home adds up quickly. You may be surprised by how much CO2 you are emitting each year. The typical UK household emits 5.48 tonnes of CO2 per year (not including travel) enough to fill 1.25 hot air balloons.

A carbon footprint is a measure of the impact human activities have on the environment in terms of the amount of greenhouse gases produced, measured in units of carbon dioxide.
