As a project developer, co2balance is a world leader in creating Gold Standard projects in Africa and Asia that go beyond carbon saving. All of our in-house projects are designed to directly help local communities socially and financially to improve their standard of living. The projects are put through the Gold Standard to ensure independent third party validation and verification.

Through running the majority of projects ourselves we have complete control over the life-cycle of the projects; that way we can be certain that the benefits promised will actually be delivered. Approximately 80% of the money contributed to offsets goes towards funding our projects. In addition to these Gold Standard Projects we can, and have, sourced carbon offset credits from projects through the world (VERs and CERs).
