Wednesday 11th February 2009
co2balance, the award-winning ethical carbon management organization, has launched operations in North America to address the needs of its increasing number of global clients and to serve new customers.
Located in Woodside, California, the North American operation will be managed by Alan Holdship, Vice President - North America. Alan has worked with some of the most prestigious companies in the world and has been part of climate change efforts for many years. He joined co2balance in May 2008.
The move to expand operations to North America is the company’s latest step in establishing ethical and creditable carbon management solutions worldwide. It enables the organization, which is headquartered in Somerset U.K., to be more responsive to new and existing clients. At a time when Climate Change is at the forefront of North American business community thinking, co2balance brings a fresh, fully accountable set of solutions to the market place.
“We’re very excited to open our headquarters in North America and have chosen California because the state is a leader in addressing climate change issues and implementing solutions.” said Alan Holdship.
He added, “In a time of cost reduction programs, economic uncertainty and concern for the future, adding an active Carbon Management Program to a business portfolio will help companies be part of the climate change solution and also offer immediate cost benefits.”
