Brazilian Biomass Project

The project uses biomass waste material from local wood and paper waste to fuel a boiler and turbine.  This replaces the original oil fired boilers and reduces the plants electricity consumption from the grid.

The installation of the biomass boiler produces steam from wood biomass residues which are a by-product of the paper production process. These residues are then burned in the boiler to produce high pressure steam which is then used to create electricity.

The project is certified by the Verified Carbon Standard.
