
Tonight between 8:30-9:30 pm millions of people all over the world will be switching off the lights for Earth Hour.
The initiative organized by WWF, now entering its 13th official year, encourages global citizens to take a symbolic hour to consider the needs of our planet.
It is important to point out that this is not an energy-saving stunt- contrary to some misguided criticisms over the years, it never has been about reducing carbon emissions for an hour- but rather a rare opportunity to take a collective moment to consider future actions for the climate and global environment.
