Earth Hour 2021

Tonight between 8:30-9:30 pm millions of people all over the world will be switching off the lights for Earth Hour.

The initiative organized by WWF, now entering its 13th official year, encourages global citizens to take a symbolic hour to consider the needs of our planet.

It is important to point out that this is not an energy-saving stunt- contrary to some misguided criticisms over the years, it never has been about reducing carbon emissions for an hour- but rather a rare opportunity to take a collective moment to consider future actions for the climate and global environment.

We are big believers in concerted action for the climate at co2balance and would encourage you to take a moment later today to consider what steps you can take. Here is this year’s official video to get into the spirit of things:
