Hello there,

I am Chiara Martin and I am one of the new Carbon Project Officers joining the Taunton team. I have started working 3 weeks ago and I have already learned a lot about carbon projects. Thank you to the CO2balance team for the warm welcome! I am extremely proud to be part of such an enthusiastic and knowledgeable team.

I am very passionate about sustainable development, and this is one of the reasons I worked hard to obtain my master’s degree in environmental management. My final project dealt with sustainable development which involved the promotion of the local agro-biodiversity in a small community in the Italian Alps. Following graduation, I completed an internship in a Development Agency in Andalusia supporting the farmers and promoting organic farming.

Outside work, I love spending time in nature; I enjoy walking and hiking and exploring new places around the world. The fresh air, trees, flowers and open spaces boot my energy, clear my mind and in general make me feel so much happier and there is nothing better than sharing this joy with my daughter.

I am so excited to be part of CO2balance. I am looking forward to taking part in projects focused on introducing improved cooking facilities and clean water to increase the quality of life of vulnerable communities around the world and at the same time, mitigate climate change.
