What is Carbon Offsetting?

It has become clear that all of us need to make our best effort to reduce our dangerous carbon emissions created from day to day life. However, it is equally clear that it is not going to be possible for any resident in the UK to completely eliminate their personal carbon footprint – this is where carbon offsetting comes in.
Carbon offsetting exists as a means to enable us to do something about our carbon footprint rather than just ignoring it.
Carbon offsetting works by helping both individuals and businesses to assess their carbon footprint, then invest in projects around the world that save the emissions of, or absorb, an equivalent amount of CO2. Through this process, they balance out their unavoidable carbon emissions and become CarbonZero.
How do I offset my Carbon Emissions?
Offsetting your Carbon emissions couldn't be easier.
Co2balance have created a group of easy to use carbon calculators which calculate your carbon emissions based on the information you enter. After calculating your carbon emissions, you can then choose which project you wish to invest in.
After choosing your desired project, you can then continue to the checkout to complete your offset.
After completing your transaction, you will receive a confirmation email confirming your offset, and attached to this will be an ecertificate which can be printed off, frame and then hung on the wall to show family or friends that you have offset your carbon emissions.

Energy Efficient cook stoves in Greater Accra, Ghana.
co2balance is currently establishing an energy efficient stove project in Greater Accra, Ghana. This project seeks to improve the indoor air quality, reduce the labour burden of women, and bring new, clean technologies to the region. The improved cook stoves will use less wood compared to the traditional stoves used in most Ghanaian households.
